The yoke is a part of a swing check valve that is used to support the valve flap and to rotate the valve disc about a pin mounted on the valve body to open and close the valve.

The valve flap of the swing check valve is disc-shaped and rotates around the shaft of the valve seat passage. The flow passage is streamlined and the flow resistance is smaller than that of the butterfly check valve. It is suitable for low flow rate and irregular flow.

What is the difference between a butterfly valve and a globe valve? To put it simply: the globe valve has better adjustment performance than the butterfly valve, and the butterfly valve has poor regulation performance.

Compared with the gate valve, the globe valve has the advantages of simple structure, good sealing performance and convenient manufacturing and maintenance; the disadvantage is that the liquid resistance is large, and the opening and closing forces are large.

After the valve is used for a long period of time, the sealing surfaces of the valve disc and the valve seat will wear out and the tightness will be reduced. Repair sealing surface is a large and important work. The main method of repair is grinding.
